Pickled Beets
1 cup red vinegar (cider or white)
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons white karo
1/4 teaspoons salt
Cloves
-penciled in: 3 cans Beets
Mix all ingredients together, and boil (slowly) for at least 30 minutes or longer. Pour over (drained) diced beets while steel [sic. still] hot.
