Chocolate Dainties

My grandmother enjoyed desserts and cookies and she tried any new recipe that she found. I don't remember these.

Chocolate Dainties

Cream together 1 cup butter or margarine and 1 cup C and H Powdered Sugar*; add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 tablespoon water. Sift, then measure 2 1/4 cups enriched flour and sift again with 4 tablespoons cocoa; stir into butter-sugar mixture. Add 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts; mix well. Form into small rolls about 2” long. Bake on un-greased cooky sheet in slow oven (300°) about 20 minutes. While hot, roll in powdered sugar; cool and roll in powdered sugar again. Makes about 3 dozen small cookies.
